An Evidence-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Resiliency Program

Rebound & Recovery is a cognitive behavioral intervention comprised of professional certifications and curriculums that focuses on early childhood through adolescence. With Rebound & Recovery, children and teens learn about what their emotions are, how they are connected to their thoughts and actions, and how to regulate their emotions while understanding and reframing their thoughts.

There is a direct correlation between children’s and adolescents’ ability to regulate and understand their emotions and thoughts and academic achievements from Preschool to college. Rebound & Recovery is a three-prong approach where the focus is placed on building teacher skills in the classroom, supports are provided for caregivers at home, and the child’s resiliency is strengthened through the use of cognitive behavioral skills to not only regulate their thoughts and emotions, and actions, but empowering them to be advocates for their own well-being and academic success.

The Rebound & Recovery Program is proud to be on the Chamber List of Promising Practices for the State of Florida!

” Research has shown that young children all over Florida and the United States are struggling with school readiness when they enter kindergarten. A major factor contributing to low school readiness rates is that many children are not socially and emotionally ready to learn.

This new professional certification will support teachers in early learning and early elementary classrooms by equipping them with knowledge, supports, and interventions that they need to successfully teach children about their thoughts, emotions and actions – how to acknowledge them and how to navigate them.”

“I want to give a big THANK YOU to Rebound & Recovery. We have been trying to work with our child on expressing feelings. Last week, he came home and was able to articulate his emotions. He said that he learned about emotions, “Emotions are happy, sad, and worried, and when I get upset, I need to calm down and think!” I really appreciate the breakthrough, It’s a work in progress. I have seen a change in him since he has been in Rebound & Recovery. I greatly appreciate Rebound & Recovery.”
